In the world of automotive industry and development, the electric vehicle (EV) is considered a great leap forward by being more eco-friendly and emitting no toxic gases or smoke. When PolyU’s experts are busy researching in innovative ways to improve charging solutions and charging speed for EV, the University is also looking into possibilities to bring greater convenience to users of electric vehicles who need charging services on campus. The University is planning to introduce more EV charging facilities on campus and is going to roll out a web-based platform that allows users to check the availability of the charging facilities. SMS notification functionality will also be enabled to users upon charging completion. More information on the launch of such charging service will be announced in due course.
