More Community Green Stations coming into operation

The Government has a plan to set up a Community Green Station in each of the 18 districts to enhance environmental education and help collect different types of recyclables in the local community, with a view to promoting green living at the community level.

Yan Oi Tong and the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association have been recently appointed by the Government to operate the Tuen Mun and Kwai Tsing Community Green Stations. The contracts are for three years and both stations are due to start operations in the second half of this year.

The Government also ran a Design Idea Competition for the proposed new Wan Chai Community Green Station at Wan Shing Street near Hung Hing Road. This competition attracted more than 70 entries for the professional and open groups, and was concluded on 28 May 2018 with an award ceremony. You can read more from the related Press Release.
