Colleagues’ contribution to greening workplace recognized

PolyU’s Green PolyU Awards – Green Office programme, the unique campus-wide campaign to drive green workplace culture, has just concluded its Phase 3 in June 2019. It is the University’s leading initiative for rewarding and celebrating offices for their contribution to drive resource efficiency and reducing negative environmental impacts.

Members of the University management, Departmental Green Officers and colleagues gathered on 4 June 2019 and saw its award ceremony. The ceremony presented awards to four winning offices as recognition of their efforts to green their workplaces and their outstanding abilities to achieve practical targets in the Phase 3 assessment, and they were:

• Gold Award winner – Campus Development Office
• Silver Award winners – Human Resources Office and Industrial Centre
• Bronze Award winner – General Education Centre

Representatives from these award-winning offices shared their good practices and their experience in proactively advocating behavioral change and managing the environmental impacts of their offices with all participants.

Green PolyU Awards – Green Office Programme Phase 4 will continue with more engaging and motivating activities to support colleagues to accelerate their progress in greening their offices.
