Specific requirements applicable to Dual PhD Degree Programmes with the following partner institution:

 

Students admitted

from the 2024/25 cohort onwards

on the basis of an MPhil or an RPg degree with a dissertation as an award requirement or above

on the basis of a Bachelor’s Degree with First Class Honours or a non-research Master’s degree

Residence Requirement

6 consecutive semesters/terms at PolyU

Thesis review and oral examination

Students will need to submit a single thesis in English. Thesis review will be conducted separately.

One oral examination will be conducted at the home university to assess the student’s thesis. The Board of Examiners (BoE) (known as Dissertation Judgement Committee at SNU) shall be formed separately according to the regulations of each university.

Continuation fee

Students will be required to pay miscellaneous fees such as continuation and examination fees as required by the host university.

Study arrangement

Students shall spend 6 consecutive semesters/terms at PolyU, and the remaining of the study period at the partner university.
