The establishment of the GS in September 2020 demonstrates the PolyU’s firm commitment to the highest quality research postgraduate education, bringing together the brightest minds of PolyU’s RPg programmes to advance the frontiers of technology and innovation in order to address the changing needs of Hong Kong, the Nation, and the world. Specifically, GS
- Supports PolyU’s mission to advance knowledge through education and research at the postgraduate level;
- Manages and coordinates matters related to RPg studies;
- Provides resources and services to RPg students for their learning and research, and to academic staff for their teaching and supervision; and
- Develops partnerships and foster collaborations with stakeholders.
GS also acts as an executive arm of the GSB to assist the formulation of different policies, guidelines and procedures relating to RPg studies, and at the same time provides both administrative and secretarial support to the GSB.
