Celebrate the Field of Medical Laboratory Science

Medical laboratory science (MLS) is a vital field in healthcare that involves conducting tests and analyses, such as during the COVID-19 pandemic, to diagnose, treat, and prevent diseases. Medical laboratory scientists use advanced instruments and technologies to generate accurate results, enabling informed decisions for patient care. To recognise their contributions, we observe International Medical Laboratory Science Day on April 15th each year.

For over 45 years, our Department of Health Technology and Informatics (HTI) has been at the forefront of nurturing professionals and advancing the field of Medical Laboratory Science.
