Dr Tussyadiah is an Associate Clinical Professor with School of
Hospitality Business Management in Carson College of Business at
Washington State University Vancouver, USA.
Iis received her PhD in information sciences from Tohoku
University, Japan and Master of Engineering in industrial
engineering and management from Bandung Institute of Technology,
Indonesia. Her research
focuses on the roles of information technologies in shaping
traveler behavior and transforming the travel and tourism
industry. She has
conducted several research projects on the impacts of mobile
technology and social media on consumer behaviour and
destination marketing in collaboration with various destination
marketing organizations, tourism attractions, and tech companies
such as Samsung Electronics.
She has published her work in leading tourism and hospitality
journals and received several best paper awards at international
conferences, such as ENTER conference, ADM conference, and
I-CHRIE conference. Dr Tussyadiah is Vice President of the
International Federation for Information Technology and Travel &
Tourism (IFITT), an international community of academics,
destinations, and travel industries with an interest in eTourism
development.
