The hospitality industry is experiencing substantial disruption
and a shifting away from the prevailing paradigm. This challenge
demands that organizations and their leaders are alert to the
external environment and to take steps to embrace change. This
module looks at how recent developments such as the advent of
online communications has created greater market transparency,
has placed unprecedented pressure on achieving immediacy and how
organizations are handling the people issues that arise from an
increasingly multi-generation workforce. Managing organizational
change is synonymous with cultural transformation and as is
commonplace across most industries, hospitality and tourism
organizations must develop a culture that is constantly moving.
This module presents senior executives with insights into some
unfamiliar challenges in the context of organizational
transformation. These require an understanding of sensitive
people issues, the development of new skills and capabilities,
and dealing with uncertainty and resistance.
The 2-day program aims to equip participants to shape
organization and manage change. Through lectures, discussions,
group interaction and activities, we connect theory,
research-based concepts and principles to best practices in
managing organizational changes.
Case studies of hospitality-related organizations in different
countries will be used to illustrate the importance of internal
communications at different levels and employee feedback at all
times in managing change.
Module highlights:
• Valuable insights that will broaden your understanding of and
