Chris Ryan

Chris continues to work with Chinese colleagues and on the UNWTO project in Raglan in the Waikato. He also continues to collect a number of rejections from journals which currently are leading to a number of revised papers being rewritten! However it is not all travail with the following being published:

In October, 2018, Chris returns to China, while also being involved in various events associated with the 2019 China-New Zealand Tourism Year – more of which later in future editions of these newsletters.Additionally he continues to edit Tourism Management, (TM) and has successfully passed to the editorship of Tourism Management Perspectives (TMP) to Catheryn Khoo-Latimore of Griffith University.  Prior to that hand over TMP was, two years previously, successfully submitted for inclusion in the SSCI Web of Science index and the hand-over effectively coincided with the IF metric for TMP being published.  Catheryn tells me that submissions have now jumped to almost 700 paper per annum, just under 50% of what TM obtains.
