Vice President's Message

The membership committee consisting of Maria Gravari Barbas, Dan Fesenmaier, Nelson Graburn, Alistair Morrison and Metin Kozak is in the process of identifying potential invited scholars for the 2018 conference. The aim of this process is to identify high-caliber tourism scholars who are not within the current network of Academy Fellows in order to increase heterogeneity of Invited Scholars and, down the track, Fellows. An email asking Fellows for suggestions for invited scholars will go out in the coming weeks.

Emerging Scholars can self-nominate. If Fellows know of any excellent candidates, please do encourage them to submit an application to the Academy secretariat. If you need a copy of the guidelines you can obtain them from myself or the Academy secretariat.
