Dr Wilco Chan presented a lecture on “ Hotel Cost Control ” to Xiamen C&D Tourism and Hotels Company Limited in Xiamen on 14 July 2007.

Prof Cathy Hsu, Prof Amy Chan & Mr Tony Tse conducted a three-day teacher training programme for Tourism College of Zhejiang and Hangzhou Tourism Vocational School on 6-8 August 2007.

An Executive Development Programme including lectures, sites inspection and field trip to Macau was hosted for Korea Convention Event Industry Association on 6-13 August 2007.

Dr Henry Tsai held a 2-hour workshop on “ Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry ” for JAL Hotels on 23 August 2007 .  20 hotel controllers of Nikko Hotels International from all over the world attended this workshop. 

Prof Amy Chan took part at the UNWTO International Conference on Metropolitan Tourism in Busan and presented Hong Kong 's success stories on its development as a metropolitan destination on 11 September 2007.

Professor Giri Jogaratnam , Visiting Professor, delivered a lecture titled “ Global trends in the hotel industry: Strategic challenges and opportunities " at the Institute of Hospitality meeting held on 19 September 2007.

Prof Cathy Hsu and Dr Henry Tsa i held 2 two-day seminars on “ Gaming Management ” for Hong Kong Jockey Club on 20-21 September 2007 and 25-26 October 2007.

Prof Amy Chan spoke on “ Destination Branding, Marketing & Delivery ” at the Seminar on MICE Opportunities in APEC Economies held in Chinese Taipei on 27-29 September 2007.

Mr Tony Tse spoke at the International Society of Hospitality Consultants 2007 Annual Conference held in Hong Kong on 8 October 2007 . The theme of the conference was “Destination China: The Awakening Giant in Dynamic Asia.” Mr Tse spoke on “ China's Outbound Tourism: From the Chinese Government's Perspective ”.

Prof Kaye Chon attended and spoke at the 4 th International Hotel Forum Organization (IHFO) Summit held on 19-22 October 2007 at Lijiang , Yunnan , China . The theme of the Forum was “ Strategy & Investment, Alliance & Competition, Brand & Development, Road & Dream of China 's Hotel (2008) ”

A one-day training program was provided to Beijing Lianhe University's Tourism College on 23 October 2007 .  5 teachers from Beijing Lianhe University 's Tourism College attended the programme.
