The IC team demonstrating the application of legged robot in inspecting chemical lab leakage.
The proposed application is a joint effort of IC, BEEE and HTI.
The IC team also won the Best Innovation Award at the same occasion.
The application of legged robot in inspecting chemical lab leakage jointly proposed by IC, the Department of Building Environment and Energy Engineering (BEEE) and the Department of Health Technology and Informatics (HTI) was awarded the Best Use of Technology in the PolyU Occupational Safety and Health Excellence Award 2023. At the same occassion IC was also awarded the Best Innovation Award. The award ceremony was held on 22 September 2023.
IC has actively promoting the use of new technologies such as immersive technologies, robot, in safety. These new technologies and applications was introduced to students as part of the learning activities as well as in workplaces.
