3 Feb 2025

Prof HU Xiangen, DoIHERD, was invited to share his thoughts on the impact of large language models (LLMs) in higher education in public-facing articles.

The article published on 1 November 2024 in THE Campus titled “The two key steps to promoting responsible use of LLMs” focuses on how LLMs offer opportunities for higher education while presenting challenges, and inspires readers on the method to balance both.

Sing Tao Daily also featured Prof HU’s article on 3 December 2024 in its Education Column. Titled “Opportunities and Challenges: The impact of large language models in higher education”, the article advocates the responsible use of LLMs to maximize the advantages of adopting such models in higher education while mitigating the associated risks.
