A delegation comprising Prof WONG Kwok-yin, Vice President (Education), Prof HU Xiangen, Director of the Institute for Higher Education Research and Development (IHERD), Dr Julia CHEN, Dean of Educational Development Centre (EDC) and representatives from various Faculties/Schools visited Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore on 2-3 May 2024. The objective of the delegation was to explore on the implementation of campus-wide flipped learning.
The delegation was received by Prof TAN Ooi Kiang, Deputy Provost (Education), Prof GAN Chee Lip, Associate Provost (Undergraduate Education), and Prof Joseph SUNG, Senior Vice President (Health & Life Sciences), who kindly showed the successful stories of the various units of NTU, including but not limited to NTU’s Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKC Medicine) and Interdisciplinary Collaborative Core (ICC) CoLab.
It was an eye-opening experience for the delegation as they were showed the team centric learning spaces at LKC Medicine in action, and the ICC CoLab. The effort NTU invested on implementing flipped learning campus-wide yielded positive results that our University may take reference from.
