The emergence of new teaching and learning methodologies has sparked a significant paradigm shift in the landscape of higher education. This shift presents a challenge to educators as they navigate the multitude of effective methodologies available to them.
In response to this evolving educational landscape, the Institute of Higher Education Research and Development (IHERD), in collaboration with the Educational Development Centre (EDC) and the Community of Practice – Educational Research, conducted a workshop on Innovative Teaching and Learning Methodologies. We were honoured to have Dr Ray TAHERI, a renowned expert in the field, facilitated this insightful session on April 30, 2024. Participants explored cutting-edge approaches that are shaping the future of education and gained valuable perspectives to enhance their pedagogical practices.
The one-day workshop attracted more than 30 colleagues seeking to enhance their understanding of diverse teaching and learning methodologies, such as gamification, flipped classroom practices, and the integration of AI tools in teaching. Moreover, the workshop offered a platform for participants to engage in collaborative activities guided by Dr TAHERI.
