Prof HU Xiangen, Director of the Institute for Higher Education Research and Development (IHERD) went on a tour within mainland China to explore collaboration opportunities and exchange ideas in May and July 2024.
Prof HU was invited to give a talk on “Balancing the Human Wisdom and AI in Education – Challenges, Opportunities and Ethical Considerations” by Graduate School of Education of Peking University in Beijing on 27 May 2024. The talk received enthusiastic response from the attendees. After the talk, Prof HU had a meaningful exchange with academic staff members and students. These interactions reinforced the collaborative relationship.
On 29 May 2024, Prof HU was invited to be a co-speaker at the talk titled “Navigated Learning: Al for Personalized Learning” by East China Normal University in Shanghai. The talk emphasized the importance of collaboration between academics and the industry, and interaction with the audience at the later part of the event provided valuable opportunities for academic exchange.
