Invited as a representative of PolyU, Prof HU Xiangen, DoIHERD delivered two compelling talks at The 20th International Association of University Presidents Triennial Conference on 13-15 October 2024.
In his engaging talk titled “Use & Abuse of GenAI in Higher Ed”, Prof HU highlighted the bright future of proper application of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) in higher education while cautioning against the risks of its misuse. Furthermore, Prof HU demonstrated PolyU’s dedication to nurturing technological expertise and empowering future generations at The 3rd Global Universities Association Forum. His insights at the 2024 International Forum on Higher Education underscored the University’s dedication to driving innovation through interdisciplinary collaboration, particularly in the realm of Large Language Models.
These significant events, part of the China Higher Education International Week in Beijing from 10-15 October 2024, attracted senior leaders from universities in China and beyond. Prof HU’s contribution continued to resonate as he shared his forward-thinking perspectives on education and interdisciplinary fields during his trip, leaving a lasting impression on attendees in Zhengzhou at The 4th Central China Higher Education (International) Forum.
