Seminar on Enhancing AI Literacy for Teachers in Higher Education

1 Nov 2024

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (Al) has left many teachers overwhelmed and uncertain about how to leverage it to enhance teaching and learning in higher education, especially on where to apply and how to start.

In response to such challenge, IHERD, in collaboration with the Educational Development Centre (EDC) and the Community of Practice – Educational Research, conducted a seminar on Enhancing AI Literacy for Teachers in Higher Education. With the honourable presence of Prof WONG Kwok-yin, Vice President (Education), we were honoured to have invited Prof Kari RÖNKKÖ on 7 October 2024.

During the seminar, Prof RÖNKKÖ outlined the design and validation of a process that guides teachers on how to integrate educational AI services into their pedagogical practices. The interactive seminar also offered a platform for participants to engage in in-depth discussions on the topic.
