The 6th International Conference on Knowledge Management in Asia Pacific (KMAP 2012) held on 11-12 Oct in Shanghai came to a fruitful close. The conference organized by Knowledge Management and Innovation Research Centre of PolyU and hosted by Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and University of Shanghai for Science and Technology is well received by KM researchers and practitioners from various countries, including Australian, Canada, China, Germany, Mexico, Spain and Thailand.
A number of KM scholars were invited to share with participants the latest KM trend and development as well as the best KM practices. They include, Prof. Prof. Frada Burstein from Monash University, Prof. Madjid Fathi from University of Siegen, Prof. Zhongtuo Wang from Dalian University of Technology, Prof. Yoshiteru Nakamori from Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Prof. Jay Lee from University of Cincinnati, Prof. Li Gang from Xi’an Jiaotong University and Prof. Eric Tsui from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Alongside with this 2-day conference was a doctoral consortium in which doctorate candidates present their latest findings with constructive comments from the academics.
