Jack Poon is a Professor of Practice at the School of Accounting and Finance of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He obtained three master’s degrees from the Chicago Booth School of Business with high honor in Business Administration, the Stanford University in Engineering Management, and the California Institute of Technology in Electrical Engineering. He also obtained his bachelor degree summa cum laude from the University of Washington in Electrical Engineering. Mr. Poon is a Fintech enthusiast, serial entrepreneur, startup advisor, and Silicon Valley veteran. He started his career with Intel in Silicon Valley. Later, he had served as Head of Corporate Finance, Head of Investment, and Head of Technology Services for various multi-nationals. Furthermore, Mr. Poon was involved in the early stage with multiple startups which one was listed in Nasdaq and others were affiliated with TechStars Startup Accelerator and Accenture Fintech Innovation Lab. In addition to teaching, Mr. Poon is engaging as strategic advisors for startups in areas related to artificial intelligence and blockchain and serving as consultants with various Financial Services organizations.
