Managing Director
Leo is a seasoned marketer and has over 30 years’ experience in the field of hospital inbound logistic automation systems. Before starting his company in 2009, Leo worked and took a managerial role in Jardine Engineering Corporation Ltd. for the mechanical handling and logistic automation systems business over 16 years, serving both the industrial and healthcare sectors. During his service in Jardine Engineering, he had successfully introduced the pneumatic tube systems (PTS) to all major public hospitals under Hospital Authority for the automated transportation of blood specimens, drugs, medical samples, etc. between various in-house departments. After leaving Jardine Engineering in 2006, he joined the German PTS company as the Senior Manager serving the SEA region, managing the distributorship and channel sales not only in HK but also China, S. Korea, Thailand, Philippines, Taiwan and Malaysia for 3 years.
With his extensive manufacturers’ network and established healthcare clientele in Hong Kong, Leo had started his own business in 2009. It was his strong belief that robotic and automation systems for inbound logistics will be the future trend and sought-after solution by relocating a significant level of labor who was originally deployed in daily porter services to better serving the inpatients. EuroMed was the very first contractor in HK which introduced the Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) System to the new HK Children’s Hospital for the fully automatic and programmable transportation of linen trolleys, drug carts, and medical consumables etc. between different floors via laser navigation and wireless technologies. Nowadays robots and automatic systems are widely-accepted and can be found in many industries and hospitals in Hong Kong.
Leo has a BSc(Hons) degree in Statistics and Mathematics from the CUHK, a MBA from PolyU, a MSc in e-Commerce & Internet Computing as well as a PgDip in China Business from HKU. Leo has actively participated many mentorship programs for local universities and he has been a mentor for the Faculty of Business at PolyU since 2002 and a visiting lecturer of the Institute of Entrepreneurship since 2018.
