Dr. Patrick Pak Ling Lam is Vice President of IPO Vetting in the Listing Division at the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. At HKEX, he leads teams of market professionals and is responsible for advisory matters, policy guidance, and vetting of listing applications in the broader health ecosystem, focusing in the biotech sector where he has been in charge of >30+ listed issuers and >50 potential listed issuers to date.

Prior to his career in capital markets, Patrick was a senior management consultant in the advisory arms of Monitor Deloitte and PwC Hong Kong and Greater China specializing in strategy and operations for both global and domestic private and public sector clients in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, and healthcare services segments, including the formulation and implementation of a multi-phase, large-scale target operating model and transformational journey underscoring the reform of China's health delivery system in recent years.

Patrick completed his postdoctoral fellowship and obtained his PhD unraveling the mechanics of insulin secretion in health and disease at the University of Toronto under Professor Herbert Gaisano. He currently serves as an adviser to the Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Fund and the Hong Kong Sciences and Technology Parks, and continues to inspire talents and generation of new leaders through his efforts in the Arts, continuing education, mentorship and community services."
