Umbrella Here is a smart device with an internal lighting system to be attached on an umbrella. Just like the light box on an available taxi, when the umbrella light is lit, it signals that the umbrella is available for sharing. Incorporated with mobile application, Umbrella Here provides weather information and alert message to its owners to remind them if they left their umbrella somewhere.

Umbrella Here wants to build a world without strangers. It encourages everyone to take part in this movement. Through personal interactions, it connects people from different walks of life and promotes sharing and caring culture, in a fun and interesting manner. This creative solution received the Gold Award of Best Digital Entertainment (Interaction Design) at the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2014.
