The Second Box (拾易紙長) aims to be a sustainable social enterprise creating a substantial social impact on the life of elderly scavengers. Based on a fair costing principle and an innovative recycling approach, the Second Box provides better income to scavengers by offering a higher price for collection of reusable cartons and reselling them to potential users who share the same social objective.

Apart from reselling collected cartons, the Second Box will also approach designers to upcycle the cartons into innovative products and extend their collaboration with NGOs to launch different campaigns to raise public awareness on the issue of elderly scavengers.
