Eco and low carbon surface dyeing technology for cotton knitted fabric to develop colourful jean-like fashion T-shirt

The eco and low carbon surface dyeing technology with reactive dyes for cotton knitted fabric is originally invented. The surface dyed fabric can produce T-shirt with popular wash-out (jean-like) effect. The amount of dyestuff used is only about one half of the conventional dyeing method in which the eco-dyeing process can effectively limit pollution. The dyeing process time can be reduced from 4 - 8 hours to a few minutes only, and the energy consumption is dramatically lowered. Besides, colorful shades can be easily dyed.

The annual world yield of cotton knitted fabric is over 8 million tons, from which the T-shirts made are over 20 billion pieces, thus there is a great application potential worldwide. The huge energy can be saved and great carbon emission can be reduced in terms of applying this technology
