Tomo-PIV & FSI Multi-Purpose Laser-based Imaging System
Specifications
Major Functions / Key Features
Fluid mechanics experiments:1. Planar 2D-PIV on large fields using the 4 cameras on a single plane;
2. Stereo-PIV on large fields using 4 four cameras with a double stereo-PIV arrangement;
3. Tomo-PIV on relatively large volumes in water experiments and even larger in air experiments.
Material testing:
1. 2D/3D-DIC to obtain the 2D/3D material deformation maps for compression, bending, fatigue tests; FSI experiments:
2. Planar 2D-PIV+2D-DIC to obtain the 2D velocity field on the laser plane and simultaneous material deformation ;
3. Stereo-PIV+2D-DIC to obtain the 3D velocity field on the laser plane and simultaneous material deformation;
Fluid-Structure-Interaction experiments:
1. Planar 2D-PIV+2D-DIC to obtain the 2D velocity field on the laser plane and simultaneous material deformation ;
2. Stereo-PIV+2D-DIC to obtain the 3D velocity field on the laser plane and simultaneous material deformation;
3. 2D/Stereo-PIV+2D-DIC for low velocity flows;
