All of our postgraduate programmes internationally recognised and highly acclaimed for the high rigours standards in academia, and also for their practicality and relevance to the actual needs of industry, commerce and the community.
At PolyU, we offer 2 types of postgraduate programmes:

• Research Postgraduate programmes (RPg)

The RPG programmes are a research led postgraduate programme, that leads towards to attainment of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degrees, where students pursue a series of compulsory and elective subjects in-depth, with a view to contributing to the existing body of knowledge, as well as a research project under the supervision of an experienced academic staff member with similar research interests.

• Taught Postgraduate programmes (TPg)

TPg programmes are for students who wish to develop a deep understanding and high level of competence in a particular discipline, enabling them to acquire more advanced skills and training, providing them with a distinct advantage for the advancement in their professional career.

PolyU has been partnering with reputable mainland universities under the Joint PhD Programme, which leads to dual awards for mainland students.

More than 200 students have been admitted (by nomination from the following partner universities) to the programme to-date. Partnering institutions include:
