PolyU reaches new heights in Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023, ranking 79th globally

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) has attained an encouraging result in the newly released Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023, ranking 79th in the world, up 12 places from the 2022 rankings, and rising in the rankings for three consecutive years.
We are pleased with the University’s impressive performance in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, which reflects the ongoing endeavours of the PolyU community to strive for excellence in education and research. We will refer to such rankings and other forms of assessment of our achievements to identify areas for further improvement so that we can make even greater contributions in the future to the development of Hong Kong, our Nation and the world.

PolyU achieved strong results in various assessment areas in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. The performance indicators are grouped into five areas: teaching (the learning environment); research (volume, income and reputation); citations (research influence); international outlook (staff, students and research); and industry income (knowledge transfer).
