The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) has attained encouraging results in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Asia University Rankings 2025, rising six places from its previous year’s ranking to 17th. This places the University among the top 20 universities in Asia, reflecting its highly commendable performance in higher education.

The Rankings assessed 984 universities in Asia based on 11 indicators. PolyU has excelled in several criteria, achieving a full score on the “International faculty ratio” criterion for two consecutive years, while performing well in “Citations per paper” and “International research network”.

Prof. Jin-Guang TENG, President of PolyU, said, “We are pleased that PolyU has achieved another impressive and encouraging result in the QS Asia University Rankings. PolyU aspires to be an innovative world-class university that pursues excellence in education, research and knowledge transfer. Moving forward, the University will further strengthen its ties and collaborations with partners around the globe, aiming to play a more important role in the global higher education landscape. We will also support the HKSAR government’s initiative to establish the ‘Study in Hong Kong’ brand and help develop Hong Kong into an international hub for post-secondary education.
