Biography

 

Dr Xiao Liang (Shawn) completed a MEd with distinction in health and physical education at The Education University of Hong Kong, and a PhD in education at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2022. He is also a registered teacher with the Education Bureau in Hong Kong, specialising in special and inclusive education. 

Dr Liang is dedicated to designing exercise interventions which aim to improve the executive functions and sleep continuity in children with ADHD and ASD, and implementing these interventions into practice. His main research areas include physical activity, executive function, ADHD and ASD, sleep quality and continuity, and motor proficiency. He is also interested in the systematic review and meta-analysis of exercise-based interventions, health-related outcomes, and children and adolescents with special education needs. Dr Liang has been awarded the Postgraduate Research Output Award 2021 by The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
