Prof. Wang Zuankai, Associate Vice President (Research and Innovation) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU)was honoured with an invitation to visit the China National Space Administration on October 24 to attend “The Payload Handover Ceremony for the SJ-19 Satellite”, which has recently completed a successful mission and returned from space.
The multidisciplinary research team of the Research Centre for Deep Space Explorations of PolyU has developed a space catalyst material test device and completed the catalyst material test in low orbit in space. PolyU is very honoured to be able to carry the space catalyst material test device developed by the university into space aboard the SJ-19 satellite.
In the ceremony, Prof. Wang said PolyU's involvement in the Nation's space exploration dates back to the 2010s, with active participation in landmark projects. The University is dedicated to research contributions in aerospace science and technologies.
