Topic: “Long-working-distance biomimetic curved surface camera and its potential applications”
Abstract
Bionic compound eye has attracted lots of attentions in the past decades due to its advantages on the large field of view and the sensitivity to the fast moving objects. Unlike other researchers who focus on the developing of the miniature compound eye, we mainly pay our attention to the relative larger biomimetic compound eye and its potential applications. Here, the development of a biomimetic compound eye camera (BCEC) with a curved surface with a long working distance will be introduced. The details about the design, manufacture and optical test of the BCEC is explained. The potential applications of the BCEC on the measurement of the distance as well as the detecting of the moving objects are also discussed.
