Design for People In Need Poster

Organized by Intelligent CAD/CAM Technology Ltd (ICT), co-organized by RCATech, IC and U3DP, RCATech supported the three winning teams of "Design for People In Need" Contest financially to produce presentable physical prototypes so as to realize their design concepts. Apart from provision of engineering equipment and facilities, Industrial Centre (IC) and University Research Facilities in 3D Printing (U3DP) enhanced the SOLIDWORKS design skills through training offered by ICT. Mentorship, technical support and project base were provided to students to fine-tune their design.

The collective efforts continue in PolyU Innovation & Entrepreneurship ecosystem, as the winning teams will be assisted to join the upcoming Micro Fund Competition of PolyU Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship Office,  as well as external Innovation and Entrepreneurship competitions. Students are inspired and nurtured to become design entrepreneurs to help people in need in our society.
