We are excited to announce a partnership between PolyU’s RCC3D (featuring members from the Department of Food Science and Nutrition and the Industrial Centre) and D-Shape. Together, we have developed a mock-up model of an artificial reef using advanced large-format cementitious-based binder jetting technology. This model is designed for educational purposes and we showcased it at the 10th UBS Disruptive Technology CEO Summit 2024, hosted on November 20th at the Regent Hong Kong. This nature-inclusive marine structure mock-up model illustrates innovative approaches to enhancing marine biodiversity and demonstrates the resilience required to withstand extreme weather conditions.
