VISION

RICRI is established to be a global leader in the research and development of resilient and sustainable solutions for urban and rural communities to mitigate challenges brought about by climate change.

MISSION

• Develop technologies and innovations to address the consequences of climate change , including extreme weather events and sea-level changes, in urban and rural areas through pioneering applied and translational research by an interdisciplinary research team.
  
  
• Drive the development and implementation of the integrated “Green-Grey-Blue-Governance” methodology that combines natural and engineered solutions with effective governance in response to climate change by collaborating with industry and government. 
  
   
• Play a leading role in global climate-change adaptation efforts through knowledge exchanges and international collaboration in relevant technologies, innovations and policy initiatives.
