The Atmospheric Environmental Remote Sensing Society (AERSS) 2024 Annual Meeting (只有英文版本)

Established in July 2022, the Atmospheric Environmental Remote Sensing Society (AERSS) has quickly become a focal point for pioneering interdisciplinary and cross-country collaborations that link remote sensing technologies with atmospheric modeling and in situ observations.

As one of the co-organisers, the RILS is thrilled to invite you to join our 2nd Annual Meeting, which will be held from 1 to 4 December 2024, at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. This year, our theme “Remote Sensing and Sustainability” highlights our commitment to leveraging remote sensing for climate and air quality monitoring, particularly focusing on sustainable development goals in the Global South. We are calling upon a wide and diverse community including scientists, students, policymakers, educators, journalists, and organizations to join us in this significant endeavor.

The program will feature a rich array of scientific presentations, interactive workshops, and panel discussions. These sessions are designed to present the latest scientific achievements and technological advancements in atmospheric environmental remote sensing. The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, known for its advanced research facilities and vibrant academic community, offers the perfect environment for fostering collaboration and innovation.Your participation will contribute significantly to our discussions and efforts toward developing innovative solutions for a sustainable future. Abstract Submission 

Please submit your one-page abstract (max. 500 words) by 29 August 2024. The official language of the workshop is English. Template to be downloaded via login (here).

Best Presentation Award

The AERSS Annual Meeting 2024 Best Presentation Award will be given to the best ‘Oral’, ‘PICO’, and ‘Poster’ presenters, in total accounting for 5%-10% of total presenters. Judges of these awards are other meeting participants who already have a PhD, a permanent academic appointment, and are themselves not under consideration for a Best Presentation Award. Please check “I want to participate in Best Presentation Award competition” when filling the registration form.
