Pfizer Open Innovation Challenges

Pfizer initiated an effort to seek collaboration ideas from Asia academic and biotech partners via an Open Innovation Portal (http://www.ninesights.com/community/pfizer). A number of scientific or technical challenges which Pfizer hopes partners of interest could come up with proposals for further discussion are listed on the site. The areas of interest are (1) Supporting and Developing Asian Innovation, (2) Neuroscience, and (3) Oncology with the 6 challenge topics as below:
• Supporting Early Stage Neuroscience Research and Development in Asia
• Novel Cationic Lipids for the Encapsulation of Nucleic Acids as Therapeutic Nanoparticles
• Neuroinflammation
• Demonstrating In Vivo Drug Candidate Engagement with Ion Channel Targets
• Monoclonal Antibodies for Cancer Treatment
• Novel Methods to Selectively Eliminate Tumor Infiltrating Regulatory T-Lymphocytes

Our researchers were encouraged to submit proposals. RIO shall continue to encourage participation of our researchers in such initiatives to foster closer academia-industry partnerships.
