PolyU and Huawei join hands to advance navigation and positioning technology

On 8 July 2020, Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and Huawei Device Co., Ltd. (Huawei) held a cloud-based launching ceremony-cum-workshop to kick start the latest research collaboration to advance navigation and position technology. The ceremony was attended by senior management of Huawei and PolyU, including Interim Associate Vice President Dr. Terence L.T. Lau, Dean of Faculty of Engineering Professor Hau-chung Man as well as Huawei Hardware Engineering & Communication Protocol Department Head Huang Xuewen. Furthermore, PolyU researchers presented its 3-year collaboration plans and showcased the latest cutting-edge research on navigation and positioning technology. It is anticipated that this strategic alliance through collaborative research shall generate high-impact translational research in this important field.
