PolyU X The Sandbox Metaverse Workshop

PolyU teamed up with The Sandbox to organise the first-ever Metaverse Workshop for PolyU students and staff on 28 June, which was conducted in both physical and online formats. The response to the event was overwhelming, with a high level of interest from participants!

The workshop began with Dr Tommy WEI, Director of Colour, Imaging, and Metaverse Research Centre of PolyU sharing his research insights on metaverse applications. The interactive and engaging format of the workshop allowed participants to experience digital citizenship and create personalised avatars for accessing the metaverse, which was well-received by all attendees!

The overwhelmingly positive response is a testament to the importance of exploring the potential of the metaverse and its impact on society.

This workshop is the perfect opportunity to take your first step into the Metaverse. You will gain a solid understanding of what the metaverse is, from introductory to practical levels. You will also get hands-on experience using VoxEdit, a powerful tool that let you create and customise your own digital assets!
