Summary

The 3rd China Aerospace Dream Essay Competition and Space Science Application Innovative and Creative Design Competition, co-organised by PolyU, successfully concluded with an award presentation ceremony earlier in December, attracting over 240 guests. It received over 1,500 entries from over 110 participating schools, resulting in 75 awards and prizes.

Since its launch in 2021, this initiative has aimed to promote knowledge of space and China's aerospace achievements, encouraging young people to embrace these values and become innovators in technology.

 

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐠, 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭) 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐲𝐔, stated that the competitions could inspire more young people to research and develop innovative technology and contribute to the Country’s aerospace industry.

During the parallel session themed “Aerospace Development and Achievements in China”, significant milestones were highlighted, ranging from the Dong Fang Hong satellite in the 1970s to the recent Shenzhou-18 mission. The session deepened participants' understanding and admiration for aerospace technology and space exploration.
