Technology Exchange Workshop with the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, HKSAR Government

ITDO organized an exchange workshop between the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) of the HKSAR Government and PolyU researchers to explore potential collaboration in the areas of Energy Efficiency and Management, Air-conditioning System Control and Monitoring, Electrical System Monitoring, Power Supply and Power Quality Monitoring System, Remote Data Handling and Application, Smart Current Sensing and so on. 

Participating in the discussion were EMSD’s Assistant Director/3 Mr. Cliff Cheung Kwok-Fai, Senior Engineer Mr. Chan Yiu-Hon, Electrical and Mechanical Engineer Ir Ma Chun-Ho and Engineer Ir Wong Kin-Tam, PolyU Department of Electrical Engineering Prof. Eric K.W. Cheng, Chair Professor of Department of Building Services Engineering Prof. Wang Shengwei, Assistant Professor of Department of Applied Physics Dr. Yang Chai, Associate Director of Industrial Centre Ir Dr. Robert W.M. Tam, Director of Innovation and Technology Development Dr. Terence Lau, Assistant Director of Innovation and Technology Development Mr. Victor Zhao and other colleagues from both parties.

The EMSD guests also visited PolyU’s House of Innovation, Industrial Centre, Power Electronics Research Centre and laboratories and were introduced the latest developments of innovation and technology development of PolyU.
