Delegation of Guangzhou Science Technology and Innovation Commission officially visit PolyU

Invited by ITDO, the delegation of Guangzhou Science Technology and Innovation Commission (GZSTIC) led by Director-General of GZSTIC Mr. Ma Zheng-Yong and Deputy Director Mr. Zhan De-Cun, officially visited PolyU on 22 September 2015.  ITDO hosted and organized a bilateral meeting between 12 delegates including Guangzhou(GZ) District top leaders and entrepreneurs, and PolyU’s Vice President (Research Development) Ir. Professor Alex Wai, Dean of Faculty of Construction and Environment Professor Xu You-Lin and Associate Dean (Research) Professor Li Xiang-Dong, Head of Department of Health Technology & Informatics Professor Yung Yat-Ming, Head of Interdisciplinary Division of Biomedical Engineering Professor ZHENG Yong-Ping, Director of Innovation and Technology Development Dr. Terrence Lau. 

During the meeting, Vice President Professor Alex Wai said that PolyU will further enhance the collaboration with GZ enterprises, territory educations and other institutions in the areas of innovation and technology development, knowledge transfer, bilateral visits between researchers of PolyU and GZ, collaborative projects and researches in the fields of biomedical and health, smart city and safety, and sustainable development.  Meanwhile, Director-General of GZSTIC Mr. Ma Zheng-Yong expressed supports for the mutual collaboration for it helps to facilitate the GZ development, and agreed to foster communication and nurture the further collaborative opportunities.

After the meeting, the guests toured PolyU’s House of Innovation and welcoming lunch was arranged to further enhance mutual understanding and friendship.
