Summary

ITDO jointly organized a public lecture entitled “Deep Learning Microscope for Label-free Cancer Diagnostics” with the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Prof. Bahram Jalali, Northrop-Grumman Optoelectronics Chair Professor of Electrical Engineering at UCLA, shared the label-free classification of cancer cells in blood with record accuracy using the artificial intelligence with photonic time stretch technique augmented microscope. This new cell diagnostics method has the potential to open up a new path to data-driven cancer diagnostics. The public lecture was successfully held at PolyU with approximatively one hundred attendees.
