Summary

The public lecture “New Era for China Aerospace: The Milestone of China Aerospace Development and Challenges and HK Opportunities; Meet with Tianzhou-1 and Long March 7 Designers" was held in 27 June 2017 (Tue) by Innovation and Technology Department Office (ITDO) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU).

 

The Chinese space program was founded in 1956 and has developed very rapidly into one of the major space players in recent years, with success in a range of complex, challenging and pioneering missions in human spaceflight, space science, rocketry, lunar exploration. For more than half a century, we can see the Chinese match the capacity of the other spacefaring powers.
China Aerospace Science and Technology Group Science and Technology Committee Chairman Bao Weimin, Tianzhou-1 Chief Designer Bai Mingsheng and CZ-7 Deputy Chief Designer Song Zhengyu will come to PolyU to not only introduce the development of aerospace systems, missile weapon systems, aerospace technology applications and aerospace services, but also present the plans and results of manned spaceflights, lunar exploration, rocket launch and BeiDou Navigation Satellite System as well as the future plan of China's space technology on the construction of integrated information network between space and earth, spacecraft in orbit service and maintenance, heavy-lift launch vehicle and deep space exploration.
