Summary

WHAT IS YIRA?

PolyU Young Innovative Researcher Award (YIRA) is a university-level award inaugurated in 2022. The award aims to honor young PolyU researchers under the age of 35 who have made outstanding research achievements, contributed to technological advancements, and propelled transformative innovation to address societal problems. The awardees should demonstrate a vision for positive change and provide innovative solutions that shape the future.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

  • Under the age of 35
  • Have a novel and original idea
  • Dare to create an impactful change to the society

 

WHY APPLY?

As one of the awardees, you will receive:

  • Research funding support of HK$500,000;
  • Personal cash prize of HK$20,000;
  • Opportunities to be nominated by PolyU to the MIT Technology Review Innovators Under 35 Asia Pacific or equivalent;
  • Media exposure and promotion;
  • Potential sponsorship package;
  • PolyU Young Innovative Researcher Award plaque to be presented at the award ceremony
