Visit by the Zibo Government delegation

A delegation from the Zibo Government visited PolyU on 19 November to explore opportunities for jointly promoting innovation and technology development. During the meeting, both parties discussed potential collaborations in key areas, including mechanical engineering, Chinese history and culture, and smart manufacturing.

Prof. WANG Liqiu, Chair Professor of Thermal-Fluid and Energy Engineering at PolyU, presented the latest advancements in the field of mechanical engineering. Prof. HAN Xiaorong, Head of Department of Chinese History and Culture at PolyU, provided an insightful introduction on the department’s academic and research scopes. Dr Jiazhen PANG, a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at PolyU, introduced the cutting-edge research in PolyU-Rhein Köster Joint Laboratory on Smart Manufacturing. The interactions were intended to strengthen the partnership, bringing positive impact on  innovative research and knowledge  transfer.

The delegation also toured The Research Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Aviation Services Research Centre and Industrial Centre at PolyU. The delegation gained valuable insights into the University’s scientific excellence and laboratory facilities during the visit.
