Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences visited PolyU

PolyU was visited by Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences representative from Germany, 𝐌𝐬 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐔, 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 on 22 January. The visit focused on meaningful discussions regarding potential joint ventures in areas including artificial intelligence and student development.

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐋𝐈𝐔 𝐘𝐚𝐧, 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐲𝐔, shared insights into her research areas in artificial intelligence. The Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences representative also visited the Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Things (RIAIoT), which is a leading hub pioneering next-generation IoT technologies powered by artificial intelligence, as well as the Artificial Intelligence & Robotics Lab (AIR Lab) and the University Research Facility in 3D Printing (U3DP).

The visit marks a significant step in establishing a solid foundation for exploring new opportunities for partnership in education and research on computer science. Both institutions look forward to impactful and mutually beneficial collaborations that align with their strategic academic and research priorities. The initiative also underscores PolyU’s commitment to building global connections and advancing innovation in computer science and interdisciplinary fields.
