The country announced the official launch of the recruitment of the fourth batch of astronauts and the recruitment of Payload Specialists in Hong Kong for the first time, giving Hong Kong citizens the opportunity to participate in the National Manned Space Programme.
PolyU has played a crucial role for the fostering of aerospace talents and researchers. As the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with international space exploration experience, PolyU is actively promoting and conducting research for the development of aerospace and aviation technologies.
Prof. Christopher Chao, Vice President (Research and Innovation) of PolyU said “PolyU actively supports the country’s recruitment of the fourth batch of astronauts. We are recruiting suitable talents in the University to participate in this recruitment programme to contribute to the National Manned Space Programme.”
