Biography
Dr Gabriel Fong is a Computer Scientist with a keen interest in incorporating advanced technologies into healthcare and rehabilitation research. Prior to joining the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, he was a Research Fellow in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and later a Research Scientist at a healthcare technology company. His recent research interests include m-healthcare, motion sensing, AI/ML for rehabilitation, AR/VR gaming, IoT, and data security. Gabriel has participated in a number of innovative research projects funded by ITF, HMRF, QEF, GRF, HKJC, and HK Government Consultancy. He possesses substantial experience in collaborating with NGOs and hospitals, as well as in writing research grant proposals and peer-reviewed papers. He has also been granted four invention patents and has received six innovation and technology competition awards.
