Biography

Ms Panmi M.T. Lo holds a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and an MPhil degree from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She further pursued a master's degree in Psychology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Before joining PolyU, Ms Lo served as the Senior Occupational Therapist at the Hospital Authority, dedicating over a decade to public hospitals. Her extensive clinical experience encompasses treating young adults with early psychosis, adults with common mental disorders (e.g., depression, anxiety), and older adults with neurocognitive disorders. Ms Lo specialises in cognitive rehabilitation. As a convenor and active member of various working groups within the Hospital Authority, she played a pivotal role in developing cognitive rehabilitation services for psychiatric patients, evident in her contributions to initiatives such as the Social Cognitive and Interaction Training (SCIT) training packages, Cognitive Apps (task switching) in HA Go, and protocol-driven telehealth cognitive rehabilitation program.

Ms Lo has authored several articles and book chapters and is well-versed in providing self-management, work rehabilitation, and life skills interventions, including stress and anxiety management, vocational counselling, and home modification. Since 2018, she has also served as a Visiting Lecturer in the department and as a clinical educator, demonstrating her passion for nurturing and developing the next generation of occupational therapists.
